Rock Cycle Tour 2012…Announced

Cycle Tour of Eagle Rock 2012 Sunday, May 20th 2012. Following our last two year’s tours, this year we propose to take in the very scenic route of Eagle Rock which runs parallel to the Glenade -Manorhamilton road and has spectacular scenery along a c 65k route. Once again we hope the cycle will assist us in paying off the loan we have for the provision of soccer facilities for our old and young players. So, if you are looking for a local challenge this summer in the company of your neighbours, put Sunday,May 20th in your diary. It’s not a race and the cycle is very achievable with some preparation. The pace on the day will be controlled to ensure that people stay together and we will have safety vehicles and support in place. Training spins are meeting at the complex on Thursday evenings at 6.30. We will officially start a new group on Thursday, April 12th at 6.30pm. If you are over 16 and have a bike and a helmet, you are very welcome. There is no need to worry if you haven’t cycled in years – there are some things you never forget! For more details,

our two u-11 teams will be playing their playoffs this thursday in grange the older u-11s are playing merville kicking off at 6.15 and our younger u-11s are playing yeats at 7.15 both matchs are being played at the complex please come along and support our up and coming young players who are all just finishing up a very buisy first season

At 6pm monday 26th in grange our two u-11 teams will meet in a league game at the complex. for our older u-11 team it is the final league game before the playoffs and for our younger u-11 team it is the penultimate game as they play ballygawley on wednesday night. If you want to see the future of soccer in grange be there. We can guarrantee you a fantastic game of football between two really good teams

Arrow Harps wish to invite all clubs to a meeting on Wednesday night, 14th March at 9pm in Castledargan Hotel to discuss and agree a structure to provide 8- 10 year olds with semi competitive football for next season. This meeting has been arranged in light of the huge response received by Arrow Harps from clubs who are interested in providing an outlet for this age group.

Dear Sligo/Leitrim managers and coaches,

Please find attached a poster promoting a soccer coaching evening at Sligo Show grounds on Wednesday evening 14th March 2012, 6-9pm. The cost is 20 euros.

I have watched a few of these sessions at castlebar and have been very impressed by the skills they teach and the method of coaching.

I do believe it’s an opportunity for some of us to avail of techniques that can help our children improve the skills they have. I do beleive that if we want further sessions for our teams that coerver coaching will look at this option.
